Strengthening Security After a Break-In in Coventry
🆘 The Problem
We were contacted by a resident of Coventry in an emergency situation. Burglars had broken into his home, damaging the uPVC door handle and door cylinder. They then stole his car keys and drove the car away.
Upon inspection, it was clear that the cause of the intrusion was a basic, low-quality cylinder that provided little to no resistance to forced entry. This basic lock was vulnerable to common techniques like cylinder snapping and drilling, allowing intruders quick access to the property.

Replaced the old, weak cylinder with a high-security, anti-snap cylinder. This is a BS 3621 certified lock designed to resist drilling, snapping, and other forms of forced entry.

Checked and adjusted the door to ensure smooth operation with the new fittings, including the gearbox and lock mechanism.
